We are known in our community as GLH. In addition to being an active homestead, we do the best we can to help folks with advice on things in which we can help.

Through a variety of activities, we come into contact with lots of people who are also pursuing homestead living. For the most part, these are young families with children on small properties with gardening, chickens, and some also raising animals.

As we all have learned together, and with both of us being teachers, it’s been a natural evolution to assist others. Working together, all of us have experienced growth in our knowledge about homestead living.

As things progressed, many of the same questions were asked. It became obvious that there’s much valuable information to be shared from which the concept of GLH was born. It now continues on a much broader scale through this website.
